 Fleming County Hospital has moved into our brand new healthcare facility. With the growth of our hospital, there is also a need to recruit physicians to help us expand the services that we offer.  Fleming County covers 351 square miles in the outer Bluegrass region of northeastern Kentucky. We are located 55 miles northeast of Lexington, Kentucky; 75 miles southeast of Cincinnati, Ohio; 130 miles east of Louisville, Kentucky; and within a one-day drive of 65 percent of the U.S. population.
Flemingsburg is a delightful little town full of historic buildings. Fleming County is a beautiful place to visit, and a great place to live. We have three historic covered bridges, an Amish community with shops and bakeries, antique shops, folk artists, and talented craft persons. We are far enough away from the busy airports and cities to breathe a little easier, but close enough to go there when you want to enjoy a day or two at Keeneland or River Downs race tracks, Cave Run Lake, collegiate or professional sports, King's Island Theme Park, award-winning restaurants, the Cincinnati or Louisville zoos, opera, ballet, or concerts for a special getaway.
