FLEMING COUNTY HOSPITAL BOARD SELECTS NEW CEO 
Flemingsburg, Kentucky : (August 22, 2011) - The board of trustees of Fleming County Hospital, Flemingsburg, Kentucky has appointed David Faulkner as the hospital’s new chief executive officer. Joyce Hein has been serving as interim hospital CEO for five months. Board Chair, Louie Flanery said, “Faulkner brings a wealth of hospital experience to this position, and is committed to making physician, patient and employee satisfaction a high priority. Quorum Health Resources (“QHR”) conducted a national search for this position, and worked closely with us to identify the right candidate for our hospital and community.” David Faulkner will join Fleming County Hospital September 19, 2011.
Prior to this position, Faulkner served as CEO of Central Montana Medical Center, Lewistown, Montana for the last fourteen years. While at Central Montana Medical Center Mr. Faulkner increased market share of the hospital through recruiting new primary care physicians and twelve visiting specialist. “I look forward to getting to know and working with the medical staff, employees and board.” Faulkner stated.
My wife, Diana and children, Shelby, sophomore in college and Ryan, junior in high school are excited about moving to Fleming County and being part of the community. From what I’ve seen already, this is a wonderful community which obviously cares about its local hospital.”
Mr. Faulkner received a Master of Science in Health Services Management from University of Missouri-Columbia and received a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University. Faulkner is a member of the United States Naval Reserve, Medical Services Corp and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
