Swing Bed Services

Who needs Swing Bed Services?

There are times when a patient no longer needs the acute care first received in the hospital–yet may benefit from further rehabilitation services before you return home. For those patients, we offer Swing Bed Services. After surgery and hospitalization, patients may move their status from an acute care hospital patient to a swing bed patient. Others move from another hospital to a facility with swing bedcare, closer to home. The ultimate goal of swing bed care is to help the patient improve their physical functioning before returning home.

The skilled and compassionate staff at Fleming County Hospital works with patients and their families to create individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs. Our goal is to help patients heal and gain strength, so they can regain their independence and return home.
